Thank you to everyone who joined the BIX.BG Local Hub at Sofia Tech Park on 18-19 May 2026. The event brought the RIPE 92 meeting experience to Sofia with live sessions, local discussion, and time for the Bulgarian Internet community to meet in person. The next RIPE Meeting, RIPE 93, will take place in Sofia, hosted by BIX.BG.
Over two days, attendees followed RIPE 92 sessions from Edinburgh while connecting locally at Sofia Tech Park. The hub created a practical meeting point for operators, engineers, peering professionals, students, researchers, and other people working with Internet infrastructure in Bulgaria and the region.
RIPE 92 sessions were followed together in a local setting, with room for informal discussion during the meeting days.
The hub gave participants a place to reconnect, meet new contacts, and exchange operational experience in person.
The Sofia hub also helped build local momentum ahead of RIPE 93, which will be hosted by BIX.BG in Sofia.
